Re: Cart going REALLY slow
Get a digital voltmeter and measure individual batteries after full charge and use a zip tie or alligator clip to clip on each one under load and report numbers you get. That may reveal/eliminate if you are having problems with any of your batteries. Also, after running cart for a while, feel all cables/connections and see if anything getting warm/hot.

Re: Cart going REALLY slow
Well crazy enough my tires were pretty low so i filled them all to 32 psi right now and the cart hit 13-14 which honestly not bad, considering the batteries are a bit older now. I still have an issue though, or maybe its not and my car is just slow but it has like no torque to get up and going.

Re: Cart going REALLY slow
When mine was resistor any decent hill would drop speed to 8-9mph if anyone was riding with me so that’s normal. If your looking for speed and power get ready to open up the ol wallet!

Re: Cart going REALLY slow
Oh I know, but i was able to buy this cart and rebuild it from a wreck including batteries for 1600, so if i have to drop another 2k and feel like its a brand new cart, i mean im still doing very good.

Re: Cart going REALLY slow
Powertron are good batteries. I believe they are made by Trojan. But it’s worth testing, even expensive Trojans can be defective and go bad quickly.
And I’d really strongly recommend against running golf cart tires at 32pai. I’d go 20 MAX. You’re likely to hear a very loud bang, followed by a fist sized hole in the tire at 32psi |
