Default Onward Lithium tail lights always on

Just realized two days ago after walking up to the cart in the dark. The tail lights are lit up 24/7. Dealer is looking into it but no solution found yet.

Anyone have the same experience and a resolution?

I've encountered a similar situation with the taillights being on all the time and it ended up being the turn signal assembly was shorted. I replaced and the problem went away.

Dealership states that Club Car engineering is working on this issue. Apparently may be a VCM fix. Sounds like firmware to me. Might be a while.

I sure hope they’re extending battery warranty coverage for this issue. Sounds like a recipe for disaster on an electric cart

Are they fully lit or dimly lit? Are they LED?

These are LED. Dimly lit. I live in the Hill Country and one night walking up to the house I could see the cart lights on. Thought I left the ignition on.

The interior LED's in my Chevy truck have a very slight glow all the time as well. Maybe some weird parasitic draw (I have never found it) but I did notice it after I changed out the regular bulbs to LED. Do you have a regular bulb that you could try and see if it glows as well?

I would measure the current draw on the cart with the key off. Led's dimly lit draw almost no current to speak of. My voltage reducer is always powered by the main battery but it has a "trigger" signal that goes to the ignition switch that shuts it down when the switch is off. I have not measured the current drain when it's off but I am sure it's negligable.

The tail lights are integrated units so no way to change out to incandescent.

Being lithium I have no way to get to a battery lead to check amp draw.

Lithium does not do away with battery leads; they still attach at the power point.
