2012 club car precedent 48 volt

NEED HELP! THIS CAR HAS FULL BATTERY PACK. SOLENOID WAS REPLACED ABOUT 2 YEARS AGO. IT CHARGES FINE. IT WILL RUN ABOUT 5 MINTES THEN STOP. IF YOU LET IT SIT ABOUT 10 MINUTES IT WILL GO AGAIN THEN STOP AGAIN, REALLY LOST ON THIS ONE. ANY IDEAS?

Post voltage of pack & individual batteries after full charge and sitting for 12 hours.

Battery pack voltage is right on 48 volts and each battery is 8 volts, again, the car will initially run about 3 minutes then stop. Give it about 5 minutes then it will go again for about a minute.

Solenoid was replaced about 2 years ago. What do you think?

The voltages you state indicate a state of charge less than 50% which is essentially discharged.

I suggest using a digital meter to measure voltage on the pack and each battery. The decimal part of the voltage is important. And check the specific gravity of each cell if you can.

50.92 volts for the pack, 8.49 volts per battery, and 1.28 specific gravity per cell, indicate 100% charge. Check these voltages an hour after charger cycle is complete.

we did as you suggested. Battery pack @ 51.3 and each 8 volt averaged 8.4 volts. Again the car will run about 3 minutes then stop. Wait a few minutes it will run again for about a minute.

Still lost! What do you think?

What you are describing indicates to me a battery problem. Get a digital volt meter and attach leads to individual batteries with zip tie or alligator clips and post voltage of each battery as you drive it (underload). How old are batteries?

Got your PM, if these are new batteries, you need to give a couple of FULL charges with about 8-12 hours in between each charge. New batteries are usually not fully charged and they need a few cycles to get up to snuff. Let us know how it does after this is done. And always put your cart on charger after each use, even if used for 10 minutes. Batteries love to be fully charged! Makes then happy for a long time.

used 2 different chargers. Each charger does it's job. Charged to 62.2, ran about 3 minutes then stopped. Pack voltage dropped to 52.9. Motor does not get hot.

Really a beast. What do you guys think?
