Allied Lithium Batteries Main Positive Zero Volts
Cart died a few weeks ago. Worked with Allied and it was determined that one battery was dead...replaced it and did standard conditioning. After 8 holes the cart died again. The new battery is the one that now reading dead. This is the Main Positive battery. Per Allied I charged the batteries over night in parallel over night and it appeared to charge all the batteries. I hooked up it back up to the cart but now I am getting a zero reading on the that battery. I am not sure how to troubleshoot this issue.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Joe |

Re: Allied Lithium Batteries Main Positive Zero Volts
It sounds like the BMS is the issue, which would mean you'll have to reach out to Allied again. Are you using a high amp controller on your cart and if so, did they configure for that? 0 volts on Lithium is almost always a BMS problem. When it sense overvoltage for either charge or discharge it basically turns the battery "off", which is why you get that reading.

Re: Allied Lithium Batteries Main Positive Zero Volts
Everything on Cart is standard. I did remove the voltage reducer this time around to see if i get different results. I left the pack disconnected for a few hours and have connected everything back up and it is charging now with the allied charger. Could the voltage reducer cause the issue I am seeing...it is spread over the entire pack.
Thanks, Joe |

Re: Allied Lithium Batteries Main Positive Zero Volts
I can't imagine it would cause a problem, however, the installation could've trigger a circuit fault on the battery's BMS. If it doesn't occur again, then that will confirm it. If it shuts off again then there's something triggering that fault.
