Club car goes 1 ft and stops
48v Club car #PH1231-297518
Put the cart in forward, it goes for approx 1 foot (with a shake to it) then stops. Put it in reverse and same thing, it goes for about a foot and stops. Any thoughts on where to start? |

Re: Club car goes 1 ft and stops
9 years old, either needs batteries or I'm leaning toward brushes if batteries are good.
Try to include a little more info, cable condition, corrosion? anything so it's not a guessing game, pictures? |

Re: Club car goes 1 ft and stops
Sounds to me like batteries. Start there....Do a full charge and let rest for a few hours. Post pack voltage AND individual battery volts (with decimal 6.45v). That'll tell us something.

Re: Club car goes 1 ft and stops
Battery#1-8.27v
Battery#2-5.29v Battery#3-8.27v Battery#4-8.27v Battery#5-8.25v Battery#6-8.22v Pack voltage @ neutral-46.5v Batteries are from August of 2015. Obviously sounds like replacing batteries will fix the issue. Is there anyway to text motor or controller with the information I’ve given? |

The solenoid might be bad and just running until the caps discharge. Try jumping the solenoid large posts with a battery jumper cable.

Re: Club car goes 1 ft and stops
There's your answer....you must understand that your batteries are at the end of their life. You can find a used battery to replace #2 to get you by, but you are only postponing the fact that a new set is in your near future. All others will be failing soon.
