Re: Needs More Power
I have an '85 manual, but it appears to be the same as the '87 cart I own. The manual gives quite a detailed procedure for adjusting the timing.

Re: Needs More Power
if i remember there is a timing adjustment which i think is moving the pulser forward or back, but i bet you have a drive line issue. grab a 2 X6 and sit on that so you can watch action.

Re: Needs More Power
Yea, I like the 2x6 idea. I might have to give it a try. With any luck I can report back tomorrow night!

Re: Needs More Power
Take a pic of what, the manual or the procedure pages. ....For a minute there, I thought you were wanting a picture of the clutch while my a$$ is sitting on the 2x6 sccowboy suggested! Heck, I've done stupider things!

Re: Needs More Power
Okay, sorry to let you all down, but I didn't get the 2x6, a$$ burning on the muffler, picture of the clutch! I know, that would have been a good one to share. I did get through the woods and over to the lake though, and I actually think it was a little better tonight, with the new belt I put on a few days ago. I did manage to watch the belt while climbing a good hill, and it was definitely in low gear. My conclusion is, the belts and clutches are working good. I still need to check the timing, put in a new plug, and take a look at the carb. It just feels like it should do better on the low end. I'll keep you posted if I make any improvements. But hey, for my first cart, I'm still very pleased. I took a photo of the cart on the trail, looks good. And one of the boat, because it just looks so darn cool! nomo
