96 club car backfires
I have a96 club car that backfires sometimes. It has a new carb but I think it needs adjusting. How many turns out on the screw when it's seated?

Re: 96 club car backfires
Welcome 2bums I read recently that most backfire situation was caused by the throttle not closing all the way..... jus thinking ? It's something to check.

Re: 96 club car backfires
Scottyb to the rescue again, if the carb throttle plate or "butterfly" isnt closing completely when you let off of the pedal it will still draw fuel even though the spark is grounded, then when you get back on the throttle it fires all of the fuel in the cylinder and boom!!!
