Other than possably weakening the spindle, I think I like your idea better!
Or maybe, I think the bushings in mine were probably 19 yrs. old, and they were loose, but the king pins were good. I think if you just slide down the seals and pop the top caps off once a yr. you could grease them as maintanance. I guess water would be the worst thing on them. |

like the gease fitting idea! was wondering if anyone had done it before on a yammy. might pop mine out and tap a fitting on there!
