Default drivin clutch on g1

does anyone know if there is a spacer between the 2 driven clutch sheaths to keep it from coming together all the way and rob some torque and if so should i remove it. i like torque

There is a small plastic washer between the halves of the driven clutch. Over the years it may have broken and fallen out or been removed. The instructions that come with the torque spring kit say to remove it. I doubt it makes a huge difference either way, but without it the sheaves may ride closer together and possibly give you more torque. If you are in there for whatever reason, I would remove the washer.
