I bought this 89 gas ezgo and a kid had it,he tried to fix a elect problem he had jumper wires all over ,so I pulled all the jumper wires off and i'm going to rewire from srcatch,looks mostly like the motor wiring.might be a good time to change the coil and pulser too.

Welcome Robin, If you go to the gas ezgo section and click on the Tech support, the select need a manual, diagram. Scroll down to the bottom of that page youwill find the 2 stroke 89 diagram youare looking for...

ok next problem ///weak starter/gen motor cables clean, 12.5 vts, hardly turns the gas motor, which was just rebuilt,i'm taken it off to have it rebuilt what the deal with the bolt that holds the gen on won't move, is their a trick or is it just stuck? yup stuck impact hammer fixed it thanks

ok guy rebuilding the start /gen says it was ok ,load tested fine ,you guys have any ideas?

Is the drive belt tight and keeping it from spinning up to start? have you run the engine without the drive belt. you know kind of limber it up?

i'd guess cables or battery not suppling enough. maybe it's just the new engines is tight.

the drive belt is off ,funny thing is that it is ok if i leave the plug out motor has no compresion. the starter motor turns it over fine ,,it.s not the battery i put two bats at a time on it.i'm lost.
