Default Trying to avoid a disaster/Looking for advice

I just purchased a 6" lift kit, 10" rims and tires, a rear flip-down seat, and heavy duty rear leaf springs. I'm installing them on a 91 EZGO

Should I be looking for any potential disasters?

What is the best way to lift the cart to accomplish the most?

Best order to do the install?

And if your in the Bergen County, NJ area and want to take a look your more than welcome.

All the parts came from Buggies Unlimited. They have a great customer service department and I recommend them to anyone.

they suck! the front is the hardest part and it's not bad, so start there. then the back lift, followed by the seat.

Spray all the bolts you are gonna remove with a penatrant and let sit for a while. The order you do the job is gonna be up to you, but i would suggest you do the rear suspension first, usually have probs with the spring eyelet bolts, and not to mention the motor and axle wanting to turn when you take off the springs a second hand is helpful. Then while the jack is out and you are dirty change out the front end components, usally some difficulty with the spring eyelet bolts too, so lots of penatrant spray is a good idea. The last thing i would do is the rear seat setup. I know some will say you should do this while the rear suspension is done and you could. but me i am gonna take the cart out for a spin to see if i got it all assembled correct suspension wise and then do the other stuff. hope this helps

6" lift on a 91 EZGo??

You have that right? I can't even find a 6" lift for a 91 on their site.

If you don't have an extra set of hands, do the front first, then go get some help for the back. having someone to operate the jack and hold the axle steady while you are trying to get things bolted up is worth their weight in beer!! Remember to raise the cart high enough for the new lift and still fit the tires on. Go slow and have all your tools within arms reach. If you have a short rolling stool to sit on, you will be thankful.

FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS!!!! This is not the time to be a guy and just wing it! Your money and possibly your life or someone elses may be in danger if you don't do this right. I may sound a bit extreme, but I've seen the damage done when someone misses a small step in the instructions.

Finally, when you think you're done, go and tighten all the bolts that you touched, and all the bolts you didn't touch, take a test drive then tighten your lug nuts again. Check your lug nuts each time you go to ride for at least three days, if they aren't loose after that, then check them every time you check your air in the tires and battery levels.

Good luck and have fun!
