Default EZ Go PDS Charger

Bought a used cart yesterday and rode it around most of the evening. I tried to plug in the charger before going in for the night. I pluged it in and I heard a noise from the charger and then nothing. The noise was so abrupt it was hard to describe. Maybe a pop. Did something in the charger burn up?

Possibly, there is a 50 amp fuse inside of the charger.

Ok I took the charger to work with me and took off the cover. If I jump the relay the charger hums. Does that mean I have a bad board? I saw the 50 fuse. It was not like a fuse I'm used to seeing. Some sort of solid state black chip that said 50 on it.

Possible incorrect polarity at the charger port or plug?

Thats what I thought too. I replaced the fuse and decided to try the charger and when I plugged it in as soon as I touched the terminals it sparked like I was welding. I checked the polarity and it is correct. White is the pos and black neg? Its hooked up at the batteries correctly. I even took the charger plug apart and it is the same polarity. I suspected they may have had sometging wired incorrectly since the cart was disassembled for paint and lift. What now? Fuses are 15 bucks a pop literally, cause thatrs what the do is pop. It looks prettry straight forward but could I be overlooking something? Someone also told me the charger will not come on when the battery voltage is above 28. Is this true.

Thanks.
