1979 G1 solonoid & starter
I bought a G1 with wiring all disconected new with golf carts can you tell me where the pos. cable on battery go's and where the grd. on battery go's solonoids were in box geting confused trying to follow diagram i got from this forum,thank you really like this forum rebuilt engine by following your direction ,but im spining my wheels with the wiring solonod and starter thank you for the help

I'm not real good with electrical stuff but you can see in this pics the red "positive" cable goes to the starter and the black "negative" cable goes to the starter solenoid closest to the engine. This is an '84 G1. 100_1974.jpg 100_1980.jpg |

Ron are those pic's of Geep1? The 79 G1 used the older style solenoids. The positive cable is the same (to the "feild" of the starter/generator), but the hook up for negative is alittle differant than the picture. Anyone have a picture of there older G1a (79/80) to help this member? Sorry I don't have one.

I got golf cart running forward no reverse back up alarm works solonoid clicks but does not turn over in reverse can you tell me where to look for problem thank you ken
