This is exactly what most owners of ez go's need to realize. It is what it is. 9 hp. Your only gonna get so much out of these engines. Compared to stock, the belt and gov. are inexpensive ways to get speed and torque but you have to realize its 9 hp. Its not a four wheeler or utv. If all out power is your want go to the big block..
