Default Oil Question

92 Marathon with the 295 Robin. What motor oil, and what about synthetic? I live in the great state of Texas, so its usually pretty warm. Thanks in advance.

Default Re: Oil Question

The motor was designed for a single weight (30wt) oil. I have found that when i used 10-30 or 10-40 they burned more oil. I think they would burn the synthetic also.... It is just too thin And either it gets by the oil ring or is left on the cylinder by the wiper ring... either way, my experience is anything other than single 30wt resulted in increased oil consumption. Lets see it somebody else has different results
