Default G2/G9 bodywork

Been doing some searching, and I'm looking for some confirmation... G2 and G9 bodywork (front cowl and rear fenders) looks almost identical from what I can find in the pictures. Are they actually interchangeable(mounting holes and tabs all in the same places)? Reason being I have a fairly ratty G2 and am considering purchasing a G9 for body parts, just wondering who else has tried this and don't want to end up with a bunch of stuff I can't use!

The rear body/side pillar covers/mid body/upper front body parts are the same. The G9 lower front cowel will not have the holes for the aluminum trim pieces, so you just drill the holes or use the rubber upper trim peice from the G9. Good luck on your project. Lets see some before and after pix's.

Smallblock knows better than me, but the G9 igniter doesn't have the rev limiter in it like the G2 has. So you may want to ask if that is a direct R&R also.

Thanks for the info smallblock-I'm unloading my new-to -me G9 as we speak. Also, I appreciate the heads up Mike, but I'm not gonna worry about the motor stuff.. I already have a CPP cradle with a 16HP vanny slowly coming to life in the back of my G2 (YAY!) I only got the G9 for the bodywork as someone did an extremely poor job of cutting huge holes for ill fitting lights all over my G2. And to everyone who has looked or is wondering, I HAVE been taking pictures but my documenting skills suck!! Pictures may not come as quickly as I'd like, but they are in the works

I got 500 grit sand paper and went over the entire body of my golf cart. then i got scratch and fill primer, and after that was dry i wet sanded the entire thing again and then i painted it. i didnt prime my pillars at first because they were brand new, but after i was done i could tell the difference so i had to take the paint back off them and re paint them.

Thanks for the heads up on finishing, good to know about prepping for the Krylon Fusion 'cause that's the route I plan on taking!
