not really.....it might take about 2 seconds more to go from 90% to 100% but i can spin the rear tires off the line and it definatly helped where i needed it

It replaces the C-clip to keep the helix from pushing into the rear end housing.

Is there a lot to be gained by using the clutch kit over putting shims between the spring and helix to stiffen up the spring? I'm not used to messing with the driven clutch, I'm used to snowmobiles and putting a stiffer spring in the drive clutch.

it just stays in the lower range longer....helps if are pullin somthing or up a hill
