Charger not charging
The charger for my 1994 Medalist quit working. I have other chargers that I could swap the plug onto, but wanted to get this one working.(if it is actually a charger problem). When I plug the charger into the cart, I can hear the relay click, but when I plug the charger into the wall - nothing. Pack voltage was at 37.1 volts. The 60 amp fuse between charger receptacle and pack is good. Can anyone tell me what else I can check?
Thanks |

Re: Charger not charging
I was going to say maybe the capacitor is shot but then I remembered that the charger will still hum with a bad cap. but you say it does nothing when you plug it in the wall so that idea is out sorry.

Re: Charger not charging
Could be the diodes are bad.
Have you check continuity between the AC cord plug and where it goes into the charger? Just a few idea's. |

Re: Charger not charging
I don't know if that's one of the models, but some also have an internal fuse on the AC side, as well as the one on the front of the charger..

Re: Charger not charging
It was the fuse in the fuse block on the AC side. Anyone know what amperage this fuse should be? - no info on fuse itself.
Thanks. |
