My 3 Wheel E-Z-GO-E Story
Hey everyone;
we've had my cart for about 12 years now, it's been mine for about 4. shes on her third set of used batteries, and second axle. Other then that it has been great for us. So my E-Z-GO-EVERYWHERE :D had a long battle of worn out splines on one hub. We had to buy a new spline drive hub ($130) and it worked for two years. but the shaft must have been worn out too. When the new hub worn out cause of the damaged shaft... i ground the axle shaft square and drilled and tapped the hub and bolted it on with the one factory bolt and 4 bolts i added. When that fix failed the following year i welded it :!: (yeah... haha.. hub to washer, washer to nut, nut to axle shaft!) and it sheered the weld when i pinned it. welded it again.. sheeered on a hill later that day. (wheel falls off every time now cause the nut is welded and stripped now) weld, fail, weld, fail... weld weld weld wellld! It was good for a week and broke the axle shaft! Im done with that,, time for a new axle.. 48v club car 3.1 hp ss was easy to get. So now i sit with a working cart that is gutless over 10km/h How can i add power to my system? Will adding one 12v deep cycle work for the time being? Modifications: 22x8 rear tires, club car axle, custom 4" front lift, custom 6" rear lift, brake peddle mud flap, brake skid plate todo list: rear diff protection, 4g wire, shocks, rear sway bar, tires, re upholster seat, lights, stereo, http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pi...1&id=508680785 |
