New cart

Been dealing with gas for a few months, and have now picked up an electric. Seems to be a 78. I'm not familiar with all the electric terms yet, so I'm wondering if this would be called a resistor cart?

Not sure how far we'll go with this cart, I only picked it up because I was trading some stuff that I don't use anymore. We will have to invest in batteries since the ones that are in it are only good enough to know the cart will run forward and in reverse for a little while before they give out. If we could keep it on the concrete in the barn it would run a lot farther, but grass tends to slow it down. Hmmm, maybe it's just mellowing out, never thought of that.

Anyway is this cart too old to do any upgrades for a little more power?

Speed is not a major concern, but more low end power for hills would be helpful if we can upgrade this cart.
