Default 94 CC CARRY ALL 2 wont start

this cart has sat for a couple years.... i brought it for 50.00 .... the hour metor shows 2045 it will turn over and fire but will not start... it is getting gas ..... when you hold your hand over the carb intake to choke it and turn the motor over it trys to push your hand away instead of sucking toward the carb...... any ideas??? has it jumped time??? valves sticking???? help i have a golfcart rally to attend in two weeks

Sounds like a stuck valve to me, timing doesn't generally jump but then valves sticking are pretty rare as well. Run a compression test, simple and fast way to prove the integrity of your motor. Good luck on your deadline of two weeks

Chris.

make sure the starter is turning the motor the right way. I just had one of these come in and customer wired starter to turn the wrong way.

NO!

A 1994 turns counterclockwise (looking at the clutches)

1 1/2 to 2 turns from "lightly seated" should set you about right.
