Default 1986 Club Car DS Rear Leaf Spring Question

Hello Everyone,

Awesome site, appreciate all the information!

I have an 86 club car ds. I am lifting, and installing a rear seat. Last night when putting my ned HD Leafs on I determined the local parts supplier may have given me the incorrect leafs. I looked them up and the part number is clearly for a EZGO. Honest mistake.

My question is HD springs say "4 Leafs, heavy duty, blah, blah"

The springs on my cart already have 4 Leafs. The weight between new, and old feel slightly different, but not a lot. Can someone tell me if the stock leafs have 4 leafs, or 1? Basically are mine already heavy duty?

Thanks for any help!

hi there,
those days i'm working on a gas ds from '86. I'm sure the rear suspension is still the original (really rusty!!) and for what is wort this car has 2 leaf in each spring. I think your suspension is alredy HD!
on my manuals the normal suspension shows only 1 leaf.
Don't know if am I helpful.. bye
