Default Workhorse st350 no forward OE reverse

Have two workhorse 350's. One that when you switch from forward to reverse it grinds a gear bad then bang it catches, the second one had the same problem one too many times now no forward or reverse. I've adjusted cables on f/r switch but it's getting worse on the cart. Is this common to these and whats the fix? I am guessing a stripped gear in the tranny but I am a gold cart rookie. Any help would be appreciated.

Thx,

Chris

Full stop before you change gears.

Thx but that's not it. Does it every time and the second cart doesn't move anymore at all. Something is stripped or broken

Most of the time it's a stripped hub... Not sayin this is your problem but I would definitely check it out.

Hub at the wheel ? Never thought of that. Would that change or be affected by going from forward to reverse? Feels like whatever gear or whatever it is that engages for forward or reverse is stripping out. Anybody have the diagrams for the trans or rear axle or know where to look it up?

Thx again,

Chris
