Re: lifted cart oil level
Probably a stupid question but how concerned should I be about the oil light coming on? My cart is lifted and the light does come on at high rpm's. As soon as I see it I back off until it goes off. I know it has the correct amount of oil in it and I'm confident I'm not over revving it. So does the light coming on indicate a dangerous starving of oil because of angle of the engine or is it more just an annoying side effect of lifting the cart?

Re: lifted cart oil level
I hope I am doing it right,, my cart is 6up, I put the cart on the ramps, and made it level then drained the oil. recommended for my g16 is 1 qt. I then put the cart down, it read what turned out to be 6 oz to low, my thought process is that because the over head valves are at the front, top of the engine, when the paddle splashes the oil to them, it should read the full mark on the stick, I think that's what Yamaha wants, this will mean its just a little high towards the rear of the cart ,but I don't think that hurts anything, I want to make sure the valves are getting the proper oil splash, especially at lower speeds, ;;;;;;; if I am wrong I really would like to know;;;;;;;;;;; thanks
