Aluminum block casting... Torque them back to spec, no more, or you will guarantee yourself a trip to the machine shop.

I used a wrench and tightened down, when I tried to loosen bolt it would not budge. Any tips or tricks to help to prevent stripping it? I am going to buy a torque wrench and sockets today.
