It's alive and running Made an aluminum diamond plate for the rusted out battery box area, rewired and mounted the new solenoid, old regulator and ignitor, cleaned up the bad wiring. Cleaned the carb, installed a new fuel pump. Then found the primary and secondary's were froze up, lubed them up and a new drive belt. Accelerator pedal return spring was all messed up (so much rust on the main frame it's mind boggling) so we used a return spring to the frame. Brakes need some work, but it does run/steer and stop. This car is not worth a total restore, but feel it's safe enough for his 15 year old daughter to drive. For a couple hours of time, a few parts my friend has something to make his daughter happy.....for a while. It was a GOOD day
