Default Yamaha G16 clone engine swap build questions

I have a couple of old G16 gas carts. Both have worn out engines. Looking to swap in a clone (probably either a Predator 420cc 13hp or the Lifan 15hp).

I will either buy or make a mounting plate.

My questions:

What will need to be done to adapt the stock clutch setup to the shaft on the clone motors? Please be as specific as possible. I'm a wanna be tinkerer..
Will shaft need to be drilled/tapped? Size, depth? Etc. Or is there an adapter that can be used?

What will need to be done to adapt the S/G to the clone? Can I simply buy a bracket kit or somehow use the old brackets?

Can I use the old fuel setup and remove the clone gas tank (small)?

Thanks.. Will ask more as I think of it.

I hope this thread and the responses with help others with similar future projects!

Warren..

You might want to go to Vegascarts sponsor site from above and look at their installation guide for your cart. Most of your questions will be answered there with pics .

A lot of great info there. Thanks for the heads up!

I did not see any info on a pulse port for the fuel pump? Any ideas?

vegas makes a carb insulator with the pulse port in it.
