Spare stones are easy to get so that you can keep it running true.

I am not a fan of the ball style de glazers to be honest. You can find different grade stones for light or hard honing too.
I use the same type. I like that you can adjust the tension on the stones.

Never been a fan of the dingleberry hones just because of that.

Thanks, that's the one I have always used even though ezgo suggested the ball style.

Yes, I just find these more consistent as long as you keep 90% of the stone inside the bore to keep it parallel and run it slow with oil in the bore.

Okay I adjusted the carb float up a little bit and cart doesn’t smoke as bad as before I still get puff on hard throttle but if I take the air filter out and run it it improves more any ideas also when I did the wet test the burnt oil smell was very evident so I’m thinking it’s not oil

Only time I can get it to smoke with air filter off is if I crank it for a little before it starts

Okay so if everything checks out spec wise with everything and I just hone and install new rings what gaskets can I reuse and which ones should I replace ? Also have y’all found these engines need to be bored more than not or is everything usually okay besides the rings

Short answer, you won’t know until you measure everything. There’s too many variables over the life of this cart for any one of us to answer with any kind of reliability.

As for gaskets, if you remove it, replace it. And if the motor is apart, replace them all. Except for the oil pump o ring and the little o ring near the upper right hand side of the engine side cover.

Do you find that the seals need pulled and replaced as well or can I leave all that intact or do they have to be removed and replaced

If stripping an engine down replace all seals and gaskets that are disturbed. Just re use the original o rings as you were already told.
