belt length
hey guys, thanks for the info. and help when i started this project. now i'm looking to find a longer belt for my workhorse. i have swapped in a kohler 16hp and had the factory drive clutch machined to fit the 16 and now i am wondering a couple of things, first the belt thing, stock seems to be way short, 2, do i need to run an alt. with this motor or will the internal stator do the job. any help would be great. thanks Ted

Try a snowmobile belt, gates or dayco. Worked for mine.
