Home made lift kit??
Has anyone ever tried to make a homemade lift kit with just like longer bolts. i dont want to spend more than like 40 bucks as im on a VERY tight budget. i just want a good 2-3 inches.

i built my own but i built it out of 1" plate steel and i widened the cart 4" and moved the wheels forward 3". i had the plate steel laying around and only spend like $10 in new grade 8 bolts

There was a guy who built one with some wood blocks and longer bolts, he even posted pictures when he got done ...

I looked at a CC the other day that was lifted in the front by cutting the frame about 18" from the front and dropping that front section straight down where the top of it meets the bottom of the rear section and two "Z" brackets (3/16" steel) sandwiched the frame back together with 3 bolts, front and back, each side. A brace was added from near the top center, down and out to the rear section of the frame. It looked and felt solid and had a good ride. The cart is only used to run back and forth to the mailbox or short trips at the campground; probably not much rough riding. The rear had longer shackles on oem leaf springs.

Yes there has been a few of us that have buil thier own lift. Here are some pictures of the nine inch lift I designed and fabricated to go along with a Jake's long travel lift giving fifteen inches total suspension lift
