New Project Help
I tried this on the electric carts section and no bites. I have a 96 Taylor Dunn b210 that I got a good deal on. The problem is that when I try to go it just clicks. I have 39.8 volts on the battery pack. I was wanting to see if I can check the motor and make sure it runs. Here are some pics. I have checked all connections.

Re: New Project Help
Man I love it. First thing I would do is check voltage on all the solenoids. Without a wiring diagram it's a hit and miss at best. Do you get any kind of clicking from them? If not start looking for a bad micro switch or those little silver circuit breakers. Little things are the most likely problems.
Very Cool Cart though! |

Re: New Project Help
i see at least 3 soleniods so how many clicks? it could be a bad master soleniod the click might be a speed solenoid after looking again i,m guessing but i,ll bet the soleniod that dosn,t have the studs on both ends is the master so if thats not the one clicking start with that circuit.....................yeah cool cart......................

Re: New Project Help
Just looking at it I'd say the solenoids are the F/R in this cart. The controller should controll the speed. The far right should be a master solenoid and the other two should be for F/R direction. Just a guess.

Re: New Project Help
One silenoid is fwd one is rev and the other is ISO. Just looking for obvious spots. I am very illiterate when it doesnt take gas. I got it for free from work so any little I have to spend is no big deal

Re: New Project Help
A few things to check. The small spades under the #3 on the controller.
One should be a hot wire system voltage when key is turned on and micro switch on Pot box is activated. (check micro) If the micro isn't working then the controller not turning on. The other 2 wires should read OHM's. They also run to the pot box. They should read 0-5k. 0 at gas pedal rest then climb to 5k as you mash the pedal down to full speed. Now also since you have a electric F/R setup you should have a switch some place to activate it. Make sure it's operating correct. |

Re: New Project Help
actually this statement is wrong. Taylor Dunn uses a throttle input of 6-10.5 volts instead of 0-5k resistence.

Re: New Project Help
It's easy to get them confused since the cushman line looks so similar and does use the 0-5k input..... as do the industrial E-Z-GO units..... Don't you just wish someone would standardize these things?
