Yep JIM ether the float level is set to high or replacing the lines you picked up a small piece of crud and now it's not letting the needle close on the seat.

Thanks LOU, I will haul it apart again this aft and see if I can get the float set up right. I will also clean it once again to ensure there is no junk in it.

No biggie! with the carb upside down the float should sit level with the base. After setting and cleaning turn it right side up and blow in the fuel inlet. Yes air? now upside down blow again NO air? your good to go.
