whats an 88 ezgo worth

i have an 88 ezgo with a 4" lift stock tires thats in all around good shape only the motor is out and disassebled but everythings there minus the drive belt any ideas what i could try to get of it??

I bought engine in big trouble for $300.

I'm not trying to be a smart a$$......without a motor there is no way for a buyer to verify that the rearend is gd. breaks are gd. frontend is gd. wiring is gd? You get the idea?
So ....It is worth whatever you can get for it.

I bought my 87 not running with a rusted out cross member (didnt know it at the time) and a locked up motor (just needed penetrating fluid, then it ran fine for a year) for $200. Basically it was a wreck in dire need of a rebuild which is what I wanted.

I now have the running gear in a 1989 Frame and Body and just about every mechanical part has been replaced. I have a total invested of about $1800 including lift, tires, new seats, steering wheel, new engine, new clutches, new belt, new brakes, chrome wheel covers, and new paint.

With all that I figure its worth about $1800-$2000 max.

If I were in your area I would be willing to pay up to about $500 max for it considering the engine is taken apart, thus requiring a rebuild more than likely. Also, yours is a 88 model and some parts are hard to find and some are overly expensive for that one year model.

Does it have headlights in the headlight cowling or is it the flat, no headlights front clip? If it had the factory headlight cowl and they work that will help it sell believe it or not.

I gave $200 for two from a guy who claimed that one was operational. I dout that with three flat tires, brakes seezed on, batteries falling out the bottom. But I knew what I was buying and for what purpose. So what you as the seller and the buyer can agree on as a price that both are happy with, is what it is worth.

If it were me buying it i would haul it away for you(free) or give 100$ tops, id start at 400$ at most and work down, thats if it looks new just needs the motor rebuilt. If it ran and in good shape its worth a grand or less.A cart with an engine bolted in with the topend apart looks alot better than a engine in pieces.
