Default Re: Lift Questions?

Thanks Lockman! Cart parts had exactly what I was looking for. As for the rear end being lifted, my springs are already on top of the axle, so does this mean fabrication time for new spring perches and shackles? Nobody at the parts stores can help with this part, I think they dont realize (even after being told) that the rear is already lifted. Thanks again.

Huh....
Mine aren't... (but then again, it came from the factory this way!)

(it couldn't be that hard to make longer spring shackles!)

I think the new shackles are the way i'm gonna go. When you said you set your gov. with a car tach, what rpm did you set it at, and what is maintenance mode? Sorry for all the questions, just trying to learn a little!!!!

IMO...
4500 rpm's for an FE350
4200 rpm's for an FE290

Note: Some people may have theirs set higher... it can be done, but it's not suggested for long runs!

Under the seat, on the back side of the shifter, you'll see a yellow knob...
Pull it out, (spring tension) and turn it either way, until it wants to go back in,

Gently help it back in under the micro switches,
and, with the cart in neutral, and the wheels chocked,
Now... carefully, push on the "Go" pedal, and your engine should run, without your cart moving!

Set your rpm's...

Reverse the process for run mode!

BTW... I was just in Georgetown S.C a month ago!... I love that state!
But HOT.... DANG!!!
