Default 1994 G9 Airbox

Two questions for the experts:
1. Who sells the airbox lid and gasket.
2. What is the purpose of the tube on the
top of the airbox, is it suppose to have
some kind of hose connected to it, if so,
where does the tube go?

Oops - throw in a couple extra questions!
Thanks
JP

Never mind about the tube, I found out it goes
from the airbox to the valve cover! Still looking
where to buy an airbox and cover?

thanks, I looked through the ads.
that airbox is a difficult item to
find. I did locate a yamaha parts
supplier that lists the complete
assembly for something like $104.

thanks,
the lids not to bad other than a broken tab.
the main body of the airbox is warped all to
hell on the top where the cover fits so I'm
thinking the complete assembly needs to
be replaced. in the meantime I'll just pack
the top with some rubber window insulator
with the sticky back and see what happens.

Whiteriver, I'll check mine out in the barn as I pulled the airbox off mine and I have a K&N deal and other stuff done and don't need mine. If it's good I'll let you know and I'll send it to you. Just taking up room right now and it will never go back on so..........

07,
That sounds great, I'll be glad to pay ya the shipping plus
whatever you need to buy some hand soap. If yours is
as grimy as mine you'll probably need some.

PM me your address, only thing wrong with it is 2 of the rubber pull straps are missing the finger tuggers if you can call it that. I'll take it into work Monday and get it shipped out to you. Everything will be on it rubber hose to Carb. Air filter lid bottom box and side snorkle looking deal. I don't see any cracks and all looks good so I'll just send it, if it works out great if not then no loss!!! Just glad to help out a fellow G9 owner...... now if you come across a back body plastic area where the bag sits let me know, I need one!!!
