Default How Much Should Driven Clutch be Machined for More Torque

I have a 1998 Workhorse 1200 with a rebuilt 350 Robins, 22in tires, the higher RPM drive clutch spring, a 28deg driven clutch cam, the EZGO high altitude driven clutch spring, and the shorter 40 3/4in 2 cycle belt.

After playing with the clutch combinations; the above appears to provide the best hill climbing in the woods without over-revving the engine on level or moderate grades.

I have access to a friend with a machine shop, and after reading about results from clutch machining; would like to do it to obtain a little more margin climbing steep hills.

After having disassembling the clutch several times it appears that the machining would be on the inner flat surface of the movable or fixed clutch piece; allowing the clutch to close more pushing the belt out to achieve a larger maximum effective diameter?

The question is which is the best surface to machine, and how much? I have a new stock belt and figured I would close the clutch without the spring to judge how much the belt would be pushed out of the clutch. I would think that the most that the belt could be pushed out, without additional wear; would be 1/16 to 1/8in?

I don't know how much needs to be removed but maximum belt exposure is about 3/16
