my question now is does this "bypass" seem correct? This is the one location on J1 (port 4) that I am not getting power within that set of wires.

If the red wire in the first picture was connected to the open red wire in the second and the second open wire goes to the charger port then the wire in the first picture should be on pack + not - so on the + of the battery in front of it.

Thanks kgsc.

The wire connected to the (-) runs to J1-#4. It was like this when I purchased the cart and I was under the assumption that this is how they bypassed the reed switch. I did not have any issue with the cart running with the wires hooked up like this, so I wonder why it could be an issue now (if this is what is causing my current issue)

If it worked there I have no idea how it did. If that goes to pin 4 it should be pack voltage.

J1 Pin-4 has to be connected to B+ (Battery Positive).

Like kgsc, I have no idea how it could have possibly worked when connected to B-, however I suspect the black wire with the 15A inline fuse was originally connected to the front battery's B+ terminal when it did work.

Get B+ connected to J1 Pin-4 and that will get B+ on J3 Pins 3&4, which ought to power up the XCT.

Not saying this happened here but in the past I have messed up a few connections when reconnecting cables. Since then if there is more than 1 wire on a post I either bread tie or zip tie those wires together. No more where did this one go and that 5 cents I spent was well worth it.

so I am now under the assumption that I am an idiot. Maybe that fuse wire was on my positive before and I swapped it while installing that light bar (when the cart stopped working). I placed that wire on the (+) and the cart came to life last night. I did not have a chance to take it for a spin but I will do so when I get home. As of last night, all seemed ok in the garage. If that is the case, I purchased my new control/solenoid for nothing I guess.
