Re: Trailer hitch recommendations?
I went with the model carried by Steve's and Cart Stuff Depot - It turns out to be made by All Sports. Despite looking heavy duty, I was not happy with how much it flexed. I ended up welding some braces to it - I guess I just should have made it myself....
Original "Mike's" version.... IMG_6477.jpg IMG_6478.jpg These braces to the original tow mount ar possible because my seat kit has a sturdy beam running across the rear bumper mounts. IMG_6479.jpg With a 12" extension attached to clear the rear seat. Also check out the light outlet.... IMG_6480.jpg Last edited by mjribeiro; 10-15-2007 at 07:47 PM.. |

Re: Trailer hitch recommendations?
I was doing some Googling this morning and found this:
http://www.bigbuggies.com/ccrh.html It looks like it is a bit stiffer than the one from Steves (before mjribeiro got it). |

Re: Trailer hitch recommendations?
I've towed a 1,000 lb. trailer with my CC and it did GREAT! I mean, it was goin about 5mph floored but it still pulled it.

BTW - I towed 8 adults and 9 children on Halloween. The bodies totaled 1800lbs, and I figure my trailer is good for 300-350lbs. |
