Re: D&D 502 with Alltrax XCT500
Unless there is something special about that motor it should be rated at least 6000 RPM.

Re: D&D 502 with Alltrax XCT500
If it can do 5500 rpms then I am going to install it. I can't understand why they would say 3250...

Re: D&D 502 with Alltrax XCT500
Found this on D & D site for the motor you're mentioned:
Performance Spec's ▲ Vehicle Speed : 18-21 Torque Enhancement : +70 % Motor RPM : 4850 Peak HP : 8.9 I'm not an expert for DC motors but, i'd guess this is a high torque, not high speed motor. |

Re: D&D 502 with Alltrax XCT500
Ojo, yes I have seen that. I will say that D&D have said several different specs for this motor. What is tge risk in setting my RPMs to 5500 in the Alltrax software?

Re: D&D 502 with Alltrax XCT500
Can't give a recommendation, i saw different specs but with different motor no. There is a 7hp@3250 rpms as well. Description always less speed, more torque.

Re: D&D 502 with Alltrax XCT500
Well I installed it. I guess I will overspeed it up to 5000 rpms. What's the worst that could happen?

Re: D&D 502 with Alltrax XCT500
I would think there is no reason it could not handle that.

Re: D&D 502 with Alltrax XCT500
Unless it's very strange construction, it should handle 6000 RPM like most other motors this size.
