![]() on my 40L, the deceleration when taking foot off accelerator pedal was aggressive...stronger than I would want to brake in many cases. We could stop the cart on REGEN only. The aggressive nature of the decel had me considering to disable all together.
Then I leveraged my 15 years of EV controls (Ford) to the cart, and applied what you all have been sharing. I tuned the REGEN using the GenCurrentLimit on the Power Limit tab- which I assume is the Generator Current Limit. A generator is nothing more than a motor using mechanical energy to increase voltage on the motor input (i.e. charging your batteries). The stock current limits for all 5 drive-speed ranges were 225...so I tuned them down as below GenCurrentLimit BS0-->BS5 BS5 225 BS4 200 BS3 175 BS2 150 BS1 125 BS0 100 These settings significantly reduced the resistance of the generator acting on the wheels, thereby lessening the decel force. Much much smoother and comfortable. Note, that doing this will reduce the energy dumped back in to the battery during these decel periods...so if you have long steep hills, you may find going down that you are not charging the battery back up as much as prior to reducing these limits, |

![]() Some people don't like it. It is tunable. My honestly I never use the actual brake pedal except for that last foot of stopping. Will definitely make the brakes last longer.
