Re: Cart won't run. Not sure why.
Anything at or below 6v is 50% ( or more) drained. If the pack was recently charged these batteries are bad also. Take a look at this chart and your batteries 12 hours after the charger has finished and shut off.

How old are your batteries? If you need to replace one or more of them
then you want to be careful about matching age and ratings. If you have mismatched batteries you will put more of a load on them and can kill a new battery. Might be safer to replace all at once if they are older. |

Re: Cart won't run. Not sure why.
Thanks for the advice. The batteries are 1/2010 batteries. I bought a new battery yesterday and replace bat#1. The thing charged right up and runs great today. Probably will replace the others in the next couple of months. Thanks again!

New batteries have clean plates and take a charge quicker than old batteries with sulfated plates. You risk cooking the new battery while you wait for the old batteries to come up in voltage. This cooking will reduce the new battery to the performance level of the old batteries within a matter of months. I remember a guy who bought his new batteries one at a time over a period of six or eight months. The batteries that he bought first were compromised. |

If the charger is proven not to be the problem I would suspect a weak battery or a poor jumper connection on the battery bank.
