You want to buy all these things, but concerned about spending $104.00 for leaf springs? I'm done here, my points have been stated and have not been heard...

I know what your asking and where your coming from Robow. I have some old carts I use around the farm that I rig this and that up just to get them to keep on keepin on and then I have some (nicer carts) that I make sure everything is completely up to par.

For your older cart, I would just make some shock extensions for the existing shocks and see how that works to start. You might also have to get a shackle kit from Auto Zone or some auto parts place since you do have leaf springs. You can get some boxed tubing and L channel from Lowes or Home Depot (the kind with the wholes in it) and then just cut a 2 or so inch section out. I did this on one of my old Yamaha's and it worked it great. If I can think of it this weekend, I'll try to get pic's.

Your welcome. I'll try to get those pic's so you can see better what I am talking about. I'll also add here for everyone: no matter what you "rig up", just make sure it will definitely be something safe on the cart.

Here's pic's of the homemade shock extensions I put on my old Yamaha G9 and pic's of the materials you'll need which can be picked up at Lowes or just about any hardware store. They sell it in a variety of sizes very inexpensive. I use a handheld grinder to cut it. Don't forget to pick up some bolts and get nuts with the plastic inserts so they will not backoff.
