I have used the same switch on several carts for the same function. Since they are cheap Chinese, I was not surprised when a new one failed /did not work right from the beginning. Check switch as Sergio says.

Switch must be bad. I get 50 volts on middle terminal and 0 on the two outside terminals when switch is in the middle position. Move it to position 1, and I get 50V on position 2 but stray voltage on position 1, then vise versa when I move the switch to the 2nd position.

Sounds like a bad switch for sure. As Sergio suggested, remove the switch and just touch each outer wire in turn to the centre wire and see what you get.

Are you sure the switch center pin is common?

I am looking to build one of these on an XCT400 AMP (Yamaha G22).
The switches on the dash are illuminated and powered off a 48V to 12V reducer.

Could I use a 12V relay to trigger the connection of the 48V KSI back into the correct molex pin, or would that be too many volts for the relay?

I'm looking to create one of these cables for my new Alltrax install. Where would be the best place to source all the parts?

Thanks for your help!

...and to answer my own question - since I installed a new Alltrax controller I repurposed the Curtis programming cable and removed the pins from that molex connector (OMG! - what a pain to do from under the cart! ) and put it in a new molex connector that I got from Digi-Key. On the other end I used the three position switch that @Sergio used and so far so good. Very cool way to secure the cart and be able to switch to a toned down profile!

Is there a part no. or more definitive info on the "molex" connector used for the J4-5-6 Alltrax plug?
I've been searching for awhile and can't seem to find a plug that looks the right shape to fit in the J4-5-6 socket.
