Default Couple of questions

I have 06 precedent. New to me and I’m new to club cars. Have a couple of ezgos.

What does the battery light on the dash do? Can I remove it and put charge indicator gauge in its place?

Also what type of onboard charger would you guys recommend?

I have 4 12v batteries. Where would I read the pack charge at? Between which 2 post? On my ezgos it easy to do. They are both 36v

Thanks in advance for any help with these questions

Battery light illuminates when battery voltage drops to critical level.

Curtis Controller is what comes stock. 250A stock.

The battery light is controlled by the OBC and can turn on for several reasons.
I’m pretty sure you can just remove it. Tape the wires off.
Lots of people install digital voltmeters in the dash. Simple to hook up and all the connections needed are already in the dash. Details for that can be found on the forum here, that’s a very common add on.
There should be an orange or yellow wire that is 48v from the key switch, you can use that for power for a digital Voltmeter in place of the battery light. That will be constant power. If you want switched power you can get that from the switch as well.
