Does the Alltrax SR-48600 Series have a plug brake option? Is this a reasonable replacement for AXE 4865P I had?

Yes and yes. The SR48600 controller exceeds the 48650AXE in initial, peak, and sustained output. plus it has reverse polarity protection and offers a few nifty tricks of its own.

Unfortunately the Altrax SR line does not offer plug brake capability.
