Default coil wires getting super hot

1990 club car just purchased ,installed new batteries. went for a ride, green and blue cables are getting super hot at coils melting rubber. cleaned connections didnt help. checked out wiper switch seems to be fine ? really not sure what to check next.

It’s probably either driving style or vglide wiper. That cart can only be driven and slow speeds for very short amounts of time or it will heat up through those coils, that’s the nature of that system, you are going to want to drive it full speed as much as possible. The other problem could be the vglide wiper is not going to the top and making good contact. Go for a ride around the block at full throttle and it shouldn’t get very hot, if it is start checking vglide adjustments. Adjustments are simple and you basically want to make sure the wiper and all pads are clean and that the wiper goes all the way up at full throttle (not touching other pads) and back down when your foots off the pedal, all while the pads are flat against each other.

green and blue are the last 2 pads if i remember right , not counting the top pad which is wide open ....like Jake said above it might not be making it to the top pad or it being driven like that ....its a pain taking those 2 batteries out to see it in action though.....send pics of it ,
