So the RO filters doesn't actually DI the water? It then has to go through DI filter afterwards?

That is the reason I use distilled water to rinse any windshield or glass I’m trying to clean. No need to wipe dry or anything other than rinse good with distilled water.

That is correct. After the RO membrane, the water passes through a fourth filter stage that contains DI resin. This is where the deionization takes place. This is the filter I have. The third canister is the DI stage. The long tube on top is the RO membrane.

Here are the results of the evaporation test that I did with RO water vs. tap water (well water). I did not have any distilled water to test ... but if properly distilled, there should be no solids in the distilled water either.
