Default Mounting on rear basket

Looking to mount a ball washer and cooler on each side of the rear basket of my 2007 Club Car Precedent. Unfortunately, my cart does not have the typical four "u nuts" that most carts have to screw into, there are simply two holes on each side of the basket. Is there an easy way to mount these items without trying to install u nuts underneath the basket?

Thanks

Update, I believe I have located the part in the manual, it appears to be a "6mm Barrel Push".

Unfortunately, it does not look like there is any option to buy them in Canada and I cannot find any option on how to install them, it doesn't seem to be as simple as screwing them in, as the screws go in the barrel.

I had a cooler on the driver's side of my precedent that I had to remove when I installed the rest seat. The two holes you mention are threaded. The other side had no accessory installed and had the push caps installed in the holes..

I can confirm the size of the screws for you tomorrow. But it should just be a bolt-on installation.

Thanks for the suggestion, the concern would be installing it securely on the plastic, as I cannot access the inside of the basket, as it contains the roof supports.

Hi Maritimer,

I was able to get out to the garage tonight.

It's a coarse thread screw that likely self-threads into the plastic. The major diameter on the thread is approx. 3/16" and the length is 1-1/4". It has a T30 Torx socket on the head.

I've included some photos below of one of the screws, along with the holes where the cooler was mounted, and the other side with the push plus in the holes.

Those look like self tapping screws so probably just make their own threads.

Yes. Definitely self-tappers.

If you can find the right size screws, I wouldn't hesitate to mount your accessories there. The screws go into the substructure for a very sturdy mounting point. After all, that's what the holes are there for.

In fact club car offers the cooler and a ball washer caddy to match the hole spacing.

Thank you ChienRouge and kgsc.

The weird thing about it is that my rear basket doesn't have the threaded inserts, there are simply four empty holes which looks like I may be able to add my own t-nuts to create the ability to screw something in there. The problem is it looks like most t-nuts are smaller than the holes. I may be able to make my own t-nut holes nearby.
