I was thinking about that but I live in GA and in the summer black seats would be like sitting on a frying pan. Maybe Black with a grey or white stripe?

Here is the seat cover I made this week. Camo twill was on sale for cheap so I made them myself for way less than Cabelas sales them....

My options now are, sandpaper the piss out of it to rough it up and roll herculiner on it or by a new top and leave it tan.

What would you guys do???
I just painted my roof this last weekend but I did use automotive paint and clear. I scuffed it like you and cleaned it with laquer thinner, then I used urethane primer on it before painting it with two colors of basecoat and a clear on top. For plastics you REALLY need to prep it very well. I probably should have even used an adhesion promoter like someone else said but you have to at least use a good primer. Primers are meant to adhere to the surface then the paint adheres to them. Prep is everything. I painted my body the same way a few months ago and it is OK so far. I am sorry to hear about that but you really need to get back down to the surface and start over. If it is peeling that fast it has to go. If you want to rattle can it I think some parts stores even have a rattle can adhesion promoter. Everytime I paint something myself it always reminds me why the real painters get paid so much.

Good luck to you

I'm a little late to this thread but I had my roof sprayed with Line-X several years ago and it looks as good as new. Probably any bedliner product would work well.

Did you do the same prep work on the roof before the Line-X? I was thinking of going this route as well.

I did not do any prep work other than maybe washing it off......I just turned it over to the Line-X guy and picked it up later that afternoon. I'm not sure what he did if anything but it has held up great.

I've had my truck bed done with Line-X and a speaker box as well. The stuff really does wear like iron.
