Wink Scottyb's Carts Digital Battery Meter

Got my Meter from Scottyb's Carts Unlimited yesterday. Put it in my Club car and now I can monitor my batteries over the cold winter. I don't want to leave my cart plugged into the charger all winter because I don't trust them if there is a power surge, outage or maybe over heating. Now I can check the batteries ever time I go to my garage and just turn the charger on when I see the meter go down a little. The meter is on and displaying all the time, so I don't have to turn anything on. Just the charger if needed.
Thanks Scotty
Andy

Wow I was just feelin a little low and you guys picked me right up

Well you are doing it right by my book there Mr Andy, anytime the pack drops a volt, you can recharge. Remember to check the water after charging and You are doing the best you can for those stored wet cells

There's really something corny about Oz....

Well, you seem to be the man in the know Scotty. You said to get a meter to keep track of my battery level and it made scene to me. I am a newbie but not a dummy.
Thanks again Scotty

Welcome to BGW Sebring
Installing a meter is a great place to start. With the meter on board you can always know what voltage the pack is, always know if the battery charger is doing it's job, always know if your batteries are holding up under a load. (driving the cart uphill simulates a load test) It is like having a golf cart tech on board

I have a 08 Precendent, 4 x 12. Do i need a volt reducer? If in the future I change to 6 x 8, does the same meter work?

Sorry, new at this, trying to absorb info quickly.

This meter works for a single battery to 200 VDC, Same meter, same reverse polarity protection, same waterproofing, same shock resistance..... you get the idea

I like all of the different options you have available to accent the meter.

And coming up with new Ideas daily.
